Mustard Brownies

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp honey mustard
  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1-¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda

Preheat oven to 350°F.Grease a 9″ baking pan. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, buttermilk, mustard and cocoa. Stir over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour and baking soda until combined. Spoon into pan, bake for 17 minutes or until brownies are set when lightly pressed on top with finger. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.

Option: serve with freshly whipped cream and berries
