- 6 cups assorted nuts
- 2 cups grape nuts or other firm cereal
- 1-1/2 cups dates, chopped
- 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup mustard powder
- 4 teaspoons sea salt
Heat the oven to 375°F and arrange the racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside. In a large bowl, combine nuts and cereal set aside. In a medium bowl, mix together butter, honey, mustard powder, and salt until well combined. Pour over nut mixture and stir until evenly coated. Spread snack mix in a single layer on the baking sheets. Bake for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until toasted and browned. Let cool to room temperature. Transfer to a large mixing bowl, add dates and combine.
